Achimurukku goes by many names in Malaysia, ie. kuih ros, kuih loyang, kuih goyang, etc. It is a favourite for Diwali / Deepavali celebration. This is the sweeter version of murukku as it is made with sugar, eggs and coconut milk. Achimurukku originated from South India and is especially popular in Kerala. This snack was brought to Malaysia by Indians who settled down in Malaysia.
